Hello, my name is Asucena Gomez. I was born in Standford University Medical Center on May 31, 1993. I was premature two months which led for my mom to be rush to Standford for my birth, as a result I had to stay in the hospital for a couple of weeks because I only weighted about 4 pounds and my only survival was being an a incubator. I grew up in a small town known as Greenfield. Greenfield is a city with a population of about 17, 000 people, 33 miles away from Salinas, California.
I come from a small family. I have two sisters and brothers, I'm the oldest. All my life I grew up with the same people, my friends are my childhood friends I met in kindergarten, I've been with them most of my life and graduated with them.
I've always being known as the "smart one" or "small one"-I'm super tiny. Throughout all of my years in school I always had perfect attendance, student of the month, high honors- all of those awards you can think of. I guess at the end it all payed off. I graduated from high school with honors and CSF, California Scholarship Federation, I sat first row in my graduation ceremony.
Now I'm a freshman in college, for now I'm doing Hartnell and then I plan to transfer out. I'm not so sure of what I want from life right now but I do know I want to do something that involves math, I love math. I'm thinking of doing something with business, but I'm not in a hurry to figure it out. I still have time..
